Luis Garcia and Michael Martin were one of four same-sex couples in Collingswood to take advantage of New Jersey's newly implemented civil union law today. Mayor Jim Maley conducted the ceremony.

New Hope

Went to New Hope last night to shoot a rally for marriage rights. I took the bridge shot when I first got into town. I was hoping to recreate it when the crowd marched across the bridge. It was way too dark by that point though. Ah well.

Councilman Frank DiCicco of Philadelphia's 1st district blocked traffic on Delaware Avenue during afternoon rush hour in protest of the proposed Sugar House Casino. He was joined by about fifty residents of Northern Liberties and Fishtown who came out despite temperatures well below freezing.
