Columbus for the Night
Film is so much more beautiful and awesome than digital I often wonder why I don't shoot it exclusively for my personal work. Then it costs $50 and takes two weeks to develop two rolls of black and white and I'm like, "Oh yeah."
Anyway we went to Columbus for the night in mid-March just to hang out. These photos are from that night.

Thanks
The trip would not have been nearly as much fun without the hospitality and friendship of the following people. So thank you to...
My parents for trading vehicles for a few weeks. The Jeep did remarkably well.
Keith for letting us crash at his place in SLC and showing us around. Also, for letting us hang at his awesome hotel in Santa Monica.
Ben for letting us stay with him in Hollywood and dealing with the, by then, strong stench of sweaty road-tripped out men.
Sam and Aaron in Austin for being super nice and showing us around even though we all had just met.
Lisa and Rusty for letting us crash in Pensacola. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Wendell for hosting a killer afternoon BBQ in Panama City and for taking us to a great beach.
Rhian's parents Dane and Monica for going above and beyond while hosting us in Savannah.
And an extra big thanks goes out to the state troopers, county sheriffs, and local police who never once pulled us over or harassed us in any way throughout the whole ordeal. Can't believe we made it 7,000+ miles without getting pulled over a single time.
Also, one of the best things about a road trip with pals is getting to hear new music that your friends are digging. Here are a few albums those guys turned me on to that made those long drives a whole lot easier to deal with.
John Cale "Vintage Violence"
The Modern Lovers "The Modern Lovers"
Girls "Album"
Harlem "Hippies"
random Lee Moses recordings
And of course thanks to Andrew, Rhian, and Kyle for being excellent travel companions. Right on.
