Critiques?
As I said, I had a busy year in the wedding department. For 2012 on this blog I have a goal of shooting more that isn't just weddings and skateboarding.
That being said, I have recently updated my official wedding portfolio. So, critiques? Things that should go? Things that should stay? Things absent or things I need more of? Let it all out people. Then I can hopefully move on to more interesting posts.

Christmas Wedding
My last wedding of 2011. I shot 30 this year, the most I've ever done. These people were sweet. They tipped me at the end of the night but were so drunk they forgot and e-mailed me this morning apologizing for not tipping. Don't worry, I took the high road and cleared it up. I hesitated, but only for a second...

Warehouse Update
I've been beyond anal retentive about holding all skate photos for the past few months in anticipation of a future project. But, (1.) I don't think I'm going to be lacking in warehouse photos, (2.) I haven't posted in a while, and (3.) this is post #800 on this blog. So it's a special occasion. Enjoy.
Doug Griffe takes it into the newly-skateable section (still not done).
The rest was pretty much all slides and grinds into the bank. So sick. Chad Kramer: Noseblunt into the bank.
Doug again. Believe it or not this was a frontside grind, not a smith. Or was it a frontside grind to frontside smith?
Doug: lipslide transfer.
Chad again: front feeble transfer. First try.
Just realized I forgot to post one. So I'm not blowing my load here! Stay tuned.

The Wedding with the Hawk
I've been talking about how excited I was to shoot this wedding for months now. Renaissance theme, castle location, hawk ringbearer! It was everything I thought it was going to be and more. Such sweet people, too. Congrats to Fran and Jake.
I had no idea how complicated a kilt is to put on.
Saw this laying on a table somewhere. Heard no mention of it at any point during the day.
The bride tried to catch a sneak peak of the ceremony as guests were arriving. Gotcha!
The hawk! I've had many ministers tell me not to use flash during the ceremony. Normally I just ignore and apologize later. But the falconer (hawker?) told me if I used a flash the hawk would attack me. He wasn't joking. I listened.
It actually worked!
So cool.
Those steps were pretty scary. Brave bridal party.
Army of Darkness-style windmill.
Cloisters Castle. Really incredible venue.
Me: "Oh, can we get some swords for this picture?"
The Rummels: "Of course. Just a minute."
The brother of the bride didn't dress up period appropriate. Luckily the '51 Bentley showed up to match his look.
Last dance.
High-five farewell.
Good vibe ending.

Where to?
Where on Earth were we off to? Who is the extra person in the far background? What exactly went down on that Skateswords trip? Well, I'm still holding off for the possibility of getting photos printed with a write-up somewhere. Giving it another week or so. If not, the full story coming here very soon.

Items of note.
Photo in the new Hard Times catalog.
Photo in the new Lowcard (#40), available at your local skateshop or through the site. *Note, you can't find the photo online, as far as I can tell.
And hopefully more coming soon. Recently tagged along on a Skateswords tour. Not sure where the photos are going yet, so holding back for now. Some will surely filter through here in the coming days. Things got weird down in Virginia.

back tail bail
Skate photo etiquette typically insists on never posting a photo of a bail. However, this isn't a skate blog, and I'm openly stating that Seth didn't land this (though he busted his ass for over an hour trying it and slammed ridiculously hard several times). He got close, but couldn't quite pull it that night. Next time.
